Resident Assistant
UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL FLORIDA HOUSING AND RESIDENCE LIFE
During my freshman year, I interviewed for a Resident Assistant position and was thrilled to be offered the opportunity to work in the NIKE community. Throughout my time there, I developed stronger communication skills by working closely with fellow RAs and building meaningful connections with my residents. Balancing the responsibilities of being a student employee—while taking demanding courses like Calculus III and Statics—taught me valuable time management and prioritization skills. I also had the opportunity to support and guide over 50 residents as they navigated roommate dynamics and built relationships both within and beyond the UCF campus.
Summer of 2024
Senior Camp Counselor
As a result of my first successful summer, I was invited back the following year to serve as a Senior Camp Counselor. In this role, I took on greater responsibilities while also balancing two summer classes. This experience taught me the importance of juggling multiple commitments and helped me significantly improve my time management and adaptability. It pushed me to stay organized, think on my feet, and remain focused—all while continuing to create a fun and supportive environment for the campers.

OCA Volunteer
As part of my second semester in the LEAD Scholars program, I chose a specialized course focused on understanding and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in order to become a more inclusive and effective leader. Combining this with my passion for theater, I partnered with OCA—an organization dedicated to empowering children and adults with disabilities by helping them grow in independence and confidence. I served as both a stagehand and a buddy, assisting cast members and working alongside the tech crew to bring A Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown to life for families and friends. It was a rewarding experience that deepened my appreciation for inclusive spaces and the power of the performing arts.

Hallow Scream Scare Actor
During my first year at UCF, I was eager to jump into the themed entertainment industry. At a freshman panel, I came across a booth for SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream and decided to give scare acting a try—combining my long-time love for theater with a new, exciting environment. This experience gave me firsthand insight into how various teams—actors, supervisors, and tech crews—collaborate to create a seamless and thrilling guest experience. I embraced the opportunity to contribute to that magic, bringing energy and dedication to every performance to help deliver unforgettable scares and excitement to our guests.

2021-2023
Conservation Teen Scientist
During my high school career, I had the opportunity to volunteer at my local zoo, helping to educate guests about our resident animals. Over the course of 400+ hours, I engaged with visitors of all ages, answering questions, sharing fun facts, and creating memorable moments. This experience helped me develop strong communication skills, learn how to adjust my approach based on different audiences, and become more confident in reading and connecting with people from all walks of life.

Camp Counselor
Thanks to my hard work as a Conservation Teen Scientist, I was offered a position as a camp counselor following my graduation from the program. Summer 2023 marked my first official job—and it was truly an eye-opening experience. While I had worked with kids before in middle school, this was my first time doing so in a professional setting. Each week brought new challenges, from helping kids express emotions to managing the occasional disagreement. Through it all, I became more adaptable and resilient. I also developed a stronger, more confident voice and gained the ability to speak clearly and comfortably in front of larger groups.

Miracle League Buddy
My first volunteer experience was with the Miracle League, a program dedicated to giving children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a game of baseball in a fun, inclusive environment. As a “buddy,” my role was to support the players—whether by offering a helping hand or simply cheering them on as they hit home runs and made their way around the bases, whether running or rolling. No two games were ever the same, which taught me how to adapt quickly and approach every moment with energy, patience, and enthusiasm.
